TV9 Network Corporate Badminton Championship 2026

1. Terms & Conditions – Eligibility Criteria
- a.Verification of eligibility through the following criteria shall be the sole responsibility and discretion of TV9 Network (“Organiser”).
- b.An individual is eligible for participation in the TV9 Network Corporate Badminton Championship (“Championship”) only if he/she is, at the time of game play, an employee of a registered company or LLP that has been operational for a minimum of two (2) years and having a workforce of at least ten (10) employees.
- c.This Championship is intended for corporate professionals and the Organizers have endeavoured to create fair competition for all participants/ players. Individuals who have previously secured medals in international, national, or state-level badminton tournaments, or who have participated in any Badminton Association of India (BAI) ranking tournament within one (1) year preceding the Championship are not eligible to participate.
- d.At the time of registration, individuals are required to make honest disclosures with regards to any underlying medical conditions, medication, surgery, etc. that may impact their ability to safely participate in the Championship.
- e.Registration, along with any supporting and required documentation, is required to be submitted strictly within the deadlines issued by the Organizer.
2. Registration & Participation
- a. Registration is open only to eligible corporate employees.
- b. Registrations submitted after the deadline shall not be accepted.
- c. Each team shall consist of a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) players (including the substitute player).
- d. The Men’s Category is exclusively for male players. The Open Category must include both male and female players.
- e. Each Company may register multiple teams.
- f. Teams must participate in all scheduled matches; selective participation is not permitted.
- g. Registration fees (if applicable) are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
- h. No substitution or replacement of players shall be permitted after submission of the final team list, except with prior written approval of the Organizer.
- i. In the event of registration by outstation players, the Organizer shall provide accommodation for Day-1 of the Championship, subject to availability and other conditions. Such accommodation provision would only be extended by the Organizer for players advancing to the subsequent rounds in the Championship. Any players that have not advanced to subsequent rounds and/or are disqualified for any reason are required to vacate such accommodation promptly as per the applicable check-out policy.
3. Player Conduct & Attire
- a. All players must wear appropriate sports-wear and non-marking shoes while on the court.
- b. Participants are expected to demonstrate sportsmanship, discipline, and decorum throughout the event. Participants may be fined for abusive language, physical threat towards others, and/or vandalism of any equipment at the venue or accommodations.
- c. Any form of misconduct, abuse, or unsportsmanlike behaviour towards technical officials, organizers, fellow participants, or spectators shall result in immediate disqualification. Review or appeal of such decisions are the sole discretion of the Organizer.
4. Game Rules & Referee Decisions
- a.
Each company may register teams in the following categories:
- Men’s Category - Team Championship (all players in the team must be from same company)
- Open Category (herein, a team may consist of players from the same or different companies)
- b. The Championship will be conducted in accordance with the Badminton Association of India (BAI) rules. The referee’s decision shall be final and binding and player’s appeals shall not be entertained.
- c. Registered teams will be divided into groups by the Organizer. Each group will include a minimum of four (4) teams or more based on total registrations.

- Men’s Doubles
OPEN CATEGORY (individual registration)
- Men’s Singles
- Women’s Singles
- Mixed Doubles
- e. Match schedules will be communicated prior to the commencement of the Champrionship.
- f. In the event of any protest or objection raised by a complainant concerning a participant’s eligibility, including but not limited to their identity, ranking credentials, or compliance with the aforementioned eligibility criteria, the complainant shall be required to deposit a non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,500/- (Indian Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred only) at the time of lodging the official complaint, following which the Organizer shall conduct an investigation with regards to the complaint. Should the investigation substantiate any non-compliance or misrepresentation, the participant in question shall be disqualified forthwith, without further notice. Any reorganisation of the Championship subsequent to disqualification shall be at the discretion of the Organizer.
5. Play Format
- a. Preliminary Rounds to Semi-Finals: Best of 3 games – 15 points, no extensions.
- b. Final Matches: Best of 3 games – 21 points, extension up to 30 points.
- c. The Organizers reserve the right to modify the format at any time, based on scheduling requirements or unforeseen circumstances.
6. Event Format & Scheduling
- a. Fixtures and schedules will be shared with the registered teams in advance.
- b. All players must report 30 minutes before their scheduled match.
- c. Walkovers will be granted if a team or player fails to report on time.
7. Format Revisions
Organizers reserve the sole right to amend the play format based on the number of team registrations. Any change will be communicated in advance to the participating teams.
8. Health & Safety
- a. By registering, players declare themselves physically and mentally fit to participate in the Championship.
- b. Organizers shall not be held responsible for any injuries, medical issues, or health-related incidents during the Championship.
- c. A basic first-aid kit will be available at the venue. Participants are advised to carry any personal medication required.
9. Player Acknowledgement
By registering for the TV9 Network Corporate Badminton Championship, participants confirm their physical and mental fitness and accept that the Organizers are not liable for any injuries sustained during the course of the event or for any other loss.
10. Venue Regulations
- a. Food and beverages are strictly prohibited inside the court premises.
- b. All attendees must maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the venue and dispose of waste responsibly.
- c. The consumption of alcohol, smoking, or any prohibited substances is strictly forbidden.
- d. The venue and schedule, once communicated by the Organizers, shall be final and binding. All participants are required to be present at the designated venue as per the instructions issued by the Organizers. Non-compliance may result in disqualification or walkover.
11. Photography & Media Consent
- a. By participating, individuals and teams grant the Organizers the right to photograph and record the Championship.
- b. Images and videos captured may be used by the Organizers for marketing and promotional purposes across digital, print, and broadcast media.
12. Liability & Organizer’s Rights
- a. The Organizers reserve the right to modify rules, venue, schedules, or event format at their sole discretion.
- b. The Organizers shall not be responsible for loss of personal belongings or valuables at the venue.
- c. Any unforeseen situation or dispute shall be resolved by the Organizing Committee, whose decision shall be final and binding.
- d. All Participants shall comply with the laws of the India.
13. Prizes
- a. Cash prizes will be awarded to the team/team members/company.
- b. It shall be the responsibility of the winning team/company to complete any statutory formalities required for prize disbursement.
- c. Disqualified players/ teams shall forfeit any claim to prizes.
14. Tax Deduction
Cash prizes will be disbursed after deduction of applicable taxes (TDS/GST or as applicable) in accordance with the prevailing laws.
15. Legal & Compliance Terms:
- a. Force Majeure: The Organizers shall not be liable for delay, rescheduling, or cancellation due to events beyond their control including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, strikes, or technical failures.
- b. Indemnity Clause: All participants and companies agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organizers, sponsors, venue partners, and officials from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in the event.
- c. Jurisdiction: All disputes or claims related to this Championship shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
- d. Data Privacy & Usage: Participants consent to the collection and usage of their personal and professional data strictly for event purposes. Data shall only be used in compliance with applicable law.
- e. Insurance Disclaimer: The Organizers do not provide personal accident or health insurance. All participants must ensure they are adequately covered either individually or by their employer.
- f. Public conduct: Participants shall not make any defamatory or negative statements about the Championship/ Organizers on public platforms, including social media.
- g. Fair Play & Integrity: Use of performance-enhancing substances is strictly prohibited.
16. Final Declaration
By completing the registration process, all participants and companies expressly agree to abide by the above terms and conditions. Non-compliance may lead to disqualification without refund or remedy.
